OK biobased

The Belgian organisation TÜV AUSTRIA BELGIUM (formerly Vinçotte) awards the OK biobased certificate. This certificate, or rather its logo, bears one to four stars, which indicate what proportion of the raw materials used in production are from renewable sources. One star indicates 20-40% renewable raw materials, while four stars indicate more than 80% renewable raw materials.

This certification system was developed in response to society's growing interest in renewable raw materials and environmental sustainability. Therefore, if a company uses production raw materials that are an alternative to fossil fuels and come from renewable sources, it can apply for OK Biobased certification.
