Fair for Life
Justice knows no limits. Fair trade programs are a factor that takes responsible supply chains and corporate social responsibility to a new level. In such a world, business serves as an engine for positive and sustainable change that transforms the lives of people and their environment for the better.
One such program is Fair for Life certification, which focuses on fair conditions in agriculture, manufacturing and trade. This programme was established in 2006 by the Swiss Foundation for Nature Biology in collaboration with the IMO Group. It was then taken over by Ecocert in 2014 to meet the specific needs of organic agriculture actors.
Fair for Life aims to promote the concept of fair trade, which guarantees a wider range of social and economic benefits to socially and economically disadvantaged producers and workers. This model of trade is set within a broader framework of regional sustainability and helps to protect and strengthen local social systems, especially in rural areas.
