BIO ECO COSMESI

Bio Eco Cosmesi is an Italian certification label that highlights not only the most natural ingredients in products, but also, for example, the recyclability of the packaging and the production method.

This prestigious certification is the responsibility of the Italian Institution for Ethical Certification (ICEA). This organisation has the task of protecting the environment and the health of the consumer.

In order to achieve certification, it is necessary to commit to using purely natural ingredients that come as much as possible from organic farming or controlled harvesting directly from the wild.

In addition to the content of natural cosmetic products, great importance is also attached to the packaging and the manufacturing process itself. The Italian Association for Organic Agriculture promotes environmentally friendly production methods using the latest technology and does not allow the use of ionising radiation. If the packaging is not recyclable and if the ingredients are not clearly labelled on the packaging, the certificate cannot be granted.

Cosmetic products certified by Bio Eco Cosmesi cannot be tested on animals and cannot contain harmful substances. A dedicated database containing prohibited substances (e.g. PEG derivatives, silicones and silicone derivatives, aluminium, etc.) has been created for this purpose. Also, genetically modified and animal raw materials obtained at the cost of the animal's life are not allowed. http://www.aiab.it/
