Choose Cruelty Free

An organisation called Choose Cruelty Free (CCF), an independent non-profit body based in Australia, is working to stop the testing of products on animals. It drew up a list of brands deemed trustworthy in 1993, enabling consumers to make better choices. In addition, the organisation is also involved in research and accreditation, not least for cosmetic companies producing products that do not cause animal suffering. The standards to obtain accreditation are very high. A brand's complete product portfolio and all ingredients should comply with this policy, not only from the point of view of the brand itself, but also from the point of view of the ingredient manufacturers and raw material suppliers. This policy must be complied with for a period of five years prior to the application for accreditation.
