The Foundation supporting Czech products was born in 1994 and five years later it metamorphosed into the Czech Product Foundation. Its primary mission is to strengthen domestic small, medium and large enterprises, covering various sectors. It seeks to raise the profile of Czech products among consumers and thus stimulate interest in them. The announcement that a given product is the holder of the Czech Product trademark is possible only if strict criteria are met, an application is submitted and registration is granted. If the company applying for the mark is owned by Czech citizens or a Czech legal entity and its profits are not transferred outside the Czech Republic, then it meets the requirements. Only a manufacturer who has its business registered in the Czech Republic can apply for a mark, not its authorised representative (third party). Another condition is that the product meets the current legislative standards that are required for it to be trademarked.
