Puer is a fully biodegradable bleaching powder based on active oxygen, suitable for washing white laundry with soap nuts. It brightens dull white fabrics and prevents graying. It can also be used as a stain remover for colorfast laundry and has antimicrobial effects.

PUER, ideal for bleaching white laundry without chemical brighteners and chlorine. Effective for soaking and removing stains from colorfast laundry. Also suitable as a gentle cleaner for drains, bathtubs, sinks, showers, and toilets.

Puer, also known as sodium percarbonate, is washing soda (sodium carbonate) enriched with oxygen. When activated with warm water, it releases oxygen and forms hydrogen peroxide, which has bleaching effects (brightens dull whites, prevents fabric from graying). Puer decomposes with fizzing and foaming into soda, water, and oxygen, making it completely biodegradable and compatible with water treatment plants and septic systems. These white granules make washing and cleaning easier. They are simply ingenious.

For Puer to work effectively, pour water at a temperature of at least 55°C over it. In cold water, the powder will not dissolve and activate.

Usage:

Washing:

Washing white and light-colored laundry in the washing machine: Add 1 - 2 tablespoons of powder to the detergent dispenser along with the laundry detergent.

Soaking heavily soiled laundry (white and colorfast): Dissolve 1 - 2 tablespoons of powder in warm water (about 10 liters), and let the laundry soak, preferably overnight. Especially suitable for organic stains (sweat, grease, wine, grass, soil, ink).

Puer is excellent for whitening laundry, whether it's greasy towels or cloth diapers. And note, laundry is truly white after using it, not a disguise like those optical brighteners that create a layer on textiles to mimic sparkling whiteness.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Cleaning the toilet: Pour a kettle of hot water into the bowl and add 1 - 2 tablespoons of Puer powder. Wait at least 10 minutes for it to dissolve, then clean the bowl with a toilet brush. If limescale has settled in your toilet, let the powder work overnight and add a tablespoon of Limescale Remover or half a cup of warm vinegar to enhance the cleaning effect. If longer-standing deposits are not removed, repeat the process or use a rubber glove and a plastic scrubber.

Cleaning sink, basin, tub, and shower drains: Pour 1 - 2 tablespoons of Puer powder into the drain and add a cup of warm vinegar. The vinegar and powder will create foam and dissolve greasy deposits. Let it work for at least 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

FAQ:

CAN PUER BE USED ON COLORED AND DARK CLOTHING?

Yes, if it is colorfast. Puer is suitable for soaking heavily soiled laundry. The higher the temperature the soaking bath can withstand, the better the effectiveness of Puer.

CAN PUER BE USED ON CLOTHING WITH PRINTS?

Puer can damage prints on clothing. Therefore, it is advisable not to soak or wash such pieces at temperatures of 60°C or higher.

IS PUER SUITABLE FOR WASHING FELTED WOOLEN CLOTHING?

Puer and wool are not a suitable combination, partly due to temperature (wool shrinks in warm water) and also because Puer's base is washing soda, which is quite alkaline, and wool does not react well to it. As a prevention against graying and felting, we recommend Fabric Softener.

CAN PUER RESTORE THE ORIGINAL WHITE COLOR OF CLOTHING THAT HAS BEEN DYED IN THE WASH?

Feel free to try Puer; you won't spoil anything. Success depends on many factors (intensity of discoloration, material, washing temperature), and it cannot be determined in advance whether bleaching will be completely successful. If PUER does not help, drugstores usually carry products for removing accidental dye stains from laundry.

IS PUER SUITABLE FOR WASHING BAMBOO DIAPERS AND DIAPER COVERS WITH PUL COATING?

Based on our experience and knowledge, Puer is not suitable for bamboo. Bamboo fiber is a type of viscose made by breaking down bamboo cellulose in an alkaline solution and then spinning it into fibers. These are characterized by great absorbency but also low strength and durability (unlike cotton, linen, or hemp, whose fibers remain in their natural state). For stains on bamboo diapers, try treating them with Gall Soap before washing; Gall Soap Flakes are more suitable for soaking. This should suffice for soiled diapers and is considered a more suitable and gentler solution. The situation is similar with PUL coating - we do not recommend exposing it to Puer either.

HOW TO WASH UNDERWEAR OR CLOTH MENSTRUAL PADS WITH PUER?

In general, the higher the temperature, the more effective Puer is. Therefore, underwear and cloth pads (pre-treated for organic stains with Gall Soap) should be washed at least at 60°C.
