Product description Blossombs Seed Bombs - Smaller Gift Set for Teachers - Flowers (7 pcs)
Do you like giving gifts that have a real meaning? Then the 100% natural seed bombs are a perfect choice, or rather a colorful one. :) In the charming gift set "Thank you for helping me grow," intended for teachers and educators, the Dutch company Blossombs has included 7 clay balls with seeds of BIO wild meadow flowers such as poppy, daisy, yarrow, cornflower, or clover. Just place them in soft soil, and once they bloom, they'll bring a smile to your face and provide a sanctuary and food for curious bees, bumblebees, or perhaps butterfly proboscises.
In Dutch Blossombs, the sympathetic founders Daisy de Bruijn and Geerten van Eldik came up with a clever idea – to create 100% natural colorful balls made from clay, wild meadow flower seeds, natural dye, and nutrients. These are seed bombs that, after germination and flowering, host and feed bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other insects so crucial for the ecosystem. And besides, those who plant, don't cause trouble. Will you join in? :)
- It's definitely an original and practical gift in one.
- They are made from 100% natural ingredients.
- Once they bloom, they provide a natural shelter full of food for bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other insects important for the ecosystem.
- You can have a small meadow even in your apartment – on the balcony or behind the window.
- Seed bombs can also grow in a flowerpot.
- They bring joy.
- When the first green plant that you've grown yourself starts peeking out from the soil, it's simply a wonderful feeling. :)
Usage:
- You can plant the seed bomb anytime during the year, but flowers emerge from it roughly from March to October.
- The flowers in Blossombs bombs are annuals. If you sow the bomb from March to September, it will bloom the same year.
- If you plant it off-season, you can look forward to the harvest next spring, provided the seeds aren't eaten by birds or insects.
- The clay balls contain an organic mix of wildflower seeds that can bloom at different times.
- Some flowers will appear immediately in spring, others not until autumn. Nature will surprise you in its own way :)
Where to plant the seed bomb?
- Anywhere, ideally outside in the garden, around the house, or where meadow flowers would bring joy.
- You can also plant the ball in a flowerpot on the balcony or behind the window.
- But keep in mind that seeds like plenty of light, space, and nutritious soil.
- Do not sow Blossombs in protected nature reserves.
How to plant the seed bomb?
- On 1 m² of outdoor soil, you can place up to 4 balls.
- If you want a meadow in a flowerpot, 1 to 3 balls are sufficient for a diameter of 20 cm.
- For a long balcony flowerpot, 3 to 6 balls lined up next to each other per meter are just right.
- For a denser growth, you can use more, just be aware that the flowers may then compete with each other and not all may grow or bloom equally.
- Press the bomb lightly into the soft soil, not too much – just so that it remains visible on the surface, and water it or wait for rain.
- After a few days, the balls will crack as the first green plants start to emerge.
- After +/- 8 weeks (and around April, once it's warm enough), the first meadow flowers will start to appear.
