Product description Blossombs Seed Bombs - Small Gift Set for Teachers - Bunny (7 pcs)

Do you love giving gifts that have real meaning? Then 100% natural seed bombs are a perfect choice, or rather a colorful one. :) In the charming gift set "Thanks for helping me grow," designed for teachers and educators, the Dutch company Blossombs has hidden 7 clay balls with seeds of organic wild meadow flowers such as poppies, daisies, yarrow, cornflowers, or clover. Just place them in soft soil, and when they bloom, they'll bring a smile to your face and provide shelter and food for curious bees, bumblebees, or even butterfly proboscises.

In the Dutch company Blossombs, the sympathetic founders Daisy de Bruijn and Geerten van Eldik came up with a clever idea – to cultivate 100% natural colorful balls made from clay, wild meadow flower seeds, natural dye, and nutrients. These seed bombs, once sprouted and bloomed, will house and feed bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other insects that are so vital to the ecosystem. Plus – those who plant, do not misbehave. Will you join in? :)

  • It's absolutely an original and practical gift in one.
  • They are made from 100% natural ingredients.
  • Once bloomed, they provide a natural refuge full of food for bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other insects that are important for the ecosystem.
  • You can have a small meadow even indoors – on a balcony or by the window.
  • Seed bombs can grow even in a pot.
  • They bring joy.
  • When the first green plant you've grown starts peeking out of the soil, it's simply a wonderful feeling. :)

Usage:

  • You can plant a seed bomb at any time of the year, but the flowers will sprout roughly from March to October.
  • The flowers in Blossombs bombs are annuals. If you sow the bomb from March to September, it will bloom the same year.
  • If you plant it out of season, you can look forward to the harvest next spring unless the seeds are eaten by birds or insects.
  • The clay balls contain an organic mix of wildflower seeds that can bloom at different times.
  • Some flowers will appear right in spring, others in autumn. Nature will surprise you in its own way. :)

Where to plant the seed bomb?

  • Anywhere really, ideally outside in the garden, around the house, or where wildflowers would bring joy.
  • You can also plant the ball in a pot on the balcony or by the window.
  • However, keep in mind that seeds like plenty of light, space, and nutritious soil.
  • Do not sow Blossombs in protected nature reserves.

How to plant the seed bomb?

  • You can place up to 4 balls per 1 m² of outdoor soil.
  • If you want a meadow in a pot, 1 to 3 balls are enough for a 20 cm diameter.
  • For a long balcony planter, 3 to 6 balls lined up next to each other per 1 m is ideal.
  • For denser growth, you can use more, just know that the flowers might compete and not all will grow or bloom equally.
  • Gently press the bomb into soft soil, not too much – just so it remains visible on the surface, and water it or wait for the rain.
  • After a few days, the balls will crack as the first green plants start pushing through.
  • After +/- 8 weeks (and around April, when it's warm enough), the first meadow flowers will start to appear.
