Eco-friendly household Blossombs Seed Bombs - Mini Gift Set
Product description Blossombs Seed Bombs - Mini Gift Set
Do you enjoy gifting presents that have real meaning? Then the 100% natural seed bombs are a bullseye, or rather a colorful hit. :) In a charming gift set meant for all mothers, the Dutch Blossombs have hidden 4 clay balls with seeds of BIO wild meadow flowers such as poppies, daisies, yarrow, cornflowers, or clover. Just place them in soft soil, and once they bloom, they'll bring a smile to your face and provide a haven and food for curious bees, bumblebees, or perhaps butterfly proboscises.
- It's definitely an original and practical gift in one.
- They are made from 100% natural ingredients.
- Once bloomed, they offer a natural refuge full of food for bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other insects essential for the ecosystem.
- You can have a small meadow even in an apartment—on the balcony or by the window.
- The seed bombs can also grow in a pot.
- They bring joy.
- When the first green plant you've grown yourself starts peeking out from the soil, it's simply a wonderful feeling. :)
The sympathetic founders Daisy de Bruijn and Geerten van Eldik from Dutch Blossombs came up with a brilliant idea—to craft 100% natural colorful balls from clay, wildflower seeds, natural dyes, and nutrients. These are seed bombs that, once sprouted and bloomed, will house and feed bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other insects so crucial for the ecosystem. And besides—those who plant, don't cause trouble. Will you join in?
Usage:
- You can plant a seed bomb anytime during the year, but flowers will sprout from about March to October.
- The flowers in Blossombs bombs are annuals. If you sow the bomb from March to September, it will bloom the same year.
- If you plant it after the season, you can look forward to the harvest next spring, provided the seeds aren't eaten by birds or insects.
- The clay balls contain an organic mix of wildflower seeds that can bloom at different times.
- Some flowers will appear right in the spring, and others not until autumn. Nature will surprise you in its own way :)
Where to plant the seed bomb?
- Anywhere, ideally outside in the garden, around the house, or where meadow flowers would bring joy.
- You can also plant the ball in a pot on the balcony or by the window.
- Keep in mind that seeds like plenty of light, space, and nutritious soil.
- Do not sow Blossombs in protected nature reserves.
How to plant the seed bomb?
- You can place up to 4 balls on 1 m2 of outdoor soil.
- If you want a meadow in a pot, 1 to 3 balls suffice for a 20 cm diameter.
- For a long balcony flowerpot, 3 to 6 balls lined up next to each other per 1 m is just right.
- For a denser growth, you can use more, but know that the flowers might compete and not all will grow or bloom equally.
- Gently press the bomb into the soft soil, not too much—just enough to stay visible on the surface, and water it or wait for rain.
- After a few days, the balls will crack as the first green plants start pushing through.
- After +/- 8 weeks (and around April, when it's warm enough), the first meadow flowers will start to appear.
