Do you know how hard the water is that flows from your tap at home? Test it to determine the necessary amount of water softener, which will improve washing results and save you money on detergents. A test strip is a great tool to test water hardness before using a water softener to determine the required amount.

By using a simple test, you can find out the quality of the water in which you (not only) wash. Water naturally contains dissolved minerals, and water hardness is a property that expresses their quantity. These compounds (especially calcium and magnesium) are the source of limescale formation and significantly affect washing results and the taste of water.

It evaluates water hardness and serves as a guide for dosing the water softener.

Usage:

Dip the strip in water for about 2 seconds, remove it, and shake off excess water. The degree of water hardness is indicated by the number of squares that change color from green to pink in about 1 minute. If the test result shows more than one pink square, it is advisable to use a water softener when washing.
