Water Softener is an essential component to use with laundry detergent. It softens the water, creating the optimal environment for the soap — the main active ingredient in Sonett laundry detergents — to work effectively. This increases the effectiveness of laundry detergents in areas with hard water.

Usage:

Dosage: for 4.5 kg of laundry

Medium hard water: 30 ml of softener with Sonett washing powder

Hard water: 50 ml with Sonett Washing Powder or 40 ml

with Sonett liquid laundry detergent

Very hard water: 70 ml with Sonett washing powder or 60 ml with Sonett liquid laundry detergent

Warning:

Contains: sodium carbonate. Causes serious eye irritation. If medical advice is needed, have the product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Wear protective eyewear. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present

and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Dispose of contents/container according to local regulations.

With the softener, as with the detergent, SONETT limits itself to necessary and acceptable ingredients and refrains from using fillers, phosphates, and other softeners from petroleum products like NTA (nitrilotriacetate) and EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid). Origin and properties of individual components Zeolite A — the main component of the softener, is made from two readily available raw materials, sodium silicate and sodium aluminate, which are common clay minerals.

This silicate works on the principle of ion exchange, capturing calcium and magnesium ions that cause water hardness and softening the water for washing with a detergent made from pure vegetable soap. Soda, made from lime and kitchen salt, creates a chemical compound with the calcium present in the water and thus removes part of the substances causing water hardness. Citrate, that is, the salt of citric acid obtained by fermenting by-products of sugar, such as molasses, binds calcium even at lower temperatures.

Biodegradability Zeolite A is an insoluble mineral, similar to sand, which is deposited as a solid in sewage sludge without the need for further degradation. Soda, also of mineral nature, does not need to be further degraded. Citric acid, being an organic substance, is completely decomposed into carbon dioxide and water within 2-3 days.

The entire package is recyclable.
