Essential (or also known as ethereal) oils have a very wide range of uses. You can use them as a fragrant additive for laundry or in cleaning and disinfecting products. Their beautiful scent is also perfect for a relaxing bath, in aroma lamps, or in massage emulsions.

Ylang-Ylang essential oil comes from the flowers of the Cananga odorata and is recognizable by its sweet floral scent. It acts as a sedative, calms the nerves, and harmonizes the heart and emotions. It helps with restlessness, insomnia, night sweats, palpitations, tachycardia, arrhythmia, and high blood pressure. It also acts as an aphrodisiac and mixed with a carrier plant oil, it helps rejuvenate the skin.

Usage:

Add 3-5 drops to water in an aroma lamp or the desired number of drops into a diffuser or inhalation stick. It can also be used for direct inhalation. Do not apply undiluted to the skin, protect your eyes, and keep out of reach of children.

This oil has a natural tendency to solidify, which indicates its high quality. If the oil solidifies, immerse the bottle in a container with warm water (up to 40°C) for a water bath. Be sure to unscrew the cap to avoid expansion problems, and ensure that water does not enter the bottle. Let the bottle warm for 15 - 20 minutes, replacing the water if it cools down.

Do not use this essential oil on hypersensitive, diseased, or damaged skin. It is not suitable for children under 2 years old and is not recommended for use with low blood pressure. Apply on the skin in combination with carrier oils, at a maximum concentration of 1%.
