Michelia Champaca, also known as Magnolia Champaca, red champaca or michelia malaysia, is a plant native to Southeast Asia. It is an evergreen tree that can grow up to 50 metres tall. In its home region, this tree is considered holy and is often planted in temples. Its flowers are thick, golden yellow and strongly scented, making the champaca a very attractive ornamental plant.
Its flowers, due to their intense, pleasant aroma, are often used in the production of perfumes and essences. It is a key ingredient in the perfume \'Joy\', which is considered one of the most luxurious in the world. Champaka flowers are also traditionally used in India and other Asian countries to make various cosmetic products such as soaps and shampoos. In addition, champaka is used in Ayurvedic medicine, where it is believed to help in the treatment of various skin ailments and also as an aphrodisiac.
