Product description laSaponaria Natural Hair Dye Parvati BIO (100 g) - Copper
Purely natural hair color in BIO quality Parvati is named after the goddess and wife of the Hindu god Shiva. Legends say that Shiva was won over by her henna tattoos on her skin. Inspired by this story, laSaponaria combined selected herbs and henna from organic farming to give hair warm copper highlights and disarming allure. This hair color will be loved by everyone who longs for truly healthy hair. In addition to the color tone, it also provides the hair with strength and vitality.
The hair color is completely natural, meaning it does not contain sodium picramate, ammonia, or any other synthetic and risky additives common in conventional hair dyes. With this color, the hair will be beautiful and strong not just on the outside, but also on the inside.
Henna, or Lawsonia inermis, has been used since ancient Egypt and India. The powder from the leaves of the henna plant made its way into Europe as well. Henna colors due to the tannin content in the leaves, which binds with keratin in the hair. By itself, it gives hair red highlights, protects against hair loss, dandruff formation, and splitting.
Amla, or Indian gooseberry, is valued for its antioxidant properties. It gives hair vitality, shine, helps darker shades stand out, and also acts as a conditioner.
The color contains no synthetic components, so it does not lighten hair and cannot guarantee an exact color tone. The final shade may vary depending on the original color, as well as the condition and structure of the hair. Previous treatments the hair has undergone (synthetic hair dyes or bleaching) and the method of color application (temperature and duration) can also influence the resulting shade.
If you have gray (the first column in the attached chart) or light blond hair and plan to use a dark color, the manufacturer recommends gradual coloring. Use a color slightly lighter than the final dark shade first.
The natural color also contains indigo - a blue dye from the indigo plant. If you choose a coloring mixture containing indigo, bleaching such treated hair is no longer recommended.
Indigo tends to react with peroxide, which could result in an unwanted green tint. And you don't want that. :) If you are just trying natural colors, choose a mix that does not contain this plant. Opt for natural color with indigo content once you commit to long-term gentle herbal coloring. :)
Usage:
Preparing hair before coloring:
Ideally, wash your hair with a special shampoo designed for this purpose before coloring. Avoid shampoos containing silicones or other substances that create a protective film on the hair, as they might prevent the color from penetrating.
Preparing the color:
Start by putting on gloves. In a bowl, mix the plant powder with warm water (around 70 degrees). Add water gradually until you achieve a smooth creamy consistency, similar to ketchup. Keep in mind that the consistency should not be too runny or too thick. If you have short hair, you probably won't need the whole package. Choose the amount of herbal powder based on your hair's length and thickness to cover the entire area.
Applying the color:
Apply the mixture to washed and damp hair, working carefully strand by strand and applying the color from roots to ends. If you only have regrowth, apply the color only there, not over the entire length. Once all the hair is covered, wrap it in foil and then a dry towel or scarf to keep it warm. Leave the color on for 30 minutes to 2 hours. The longer you leave it, the deeper and darker the result will be.
Rinsing the color:
After the desired time, remove the towel and foil and rinse the color with warm water. Do not use shampoo or conditioner. Finally, you can rinse your hair with cold water and a hydrosol, which helps to better set the color. Avoid using any other hair products within the following 24 hours.
Hair full of health and shine:
To allow the color to reach its full potential, wait 24 to 48 hours before washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner. Then you can enjoy your wonderfully shiny hair in all its glory.
