Creeping bentgrass, also known as uncaria, cat's claw, cat's claw or bunched bentgrass, is a species of plant in the bean family. It is native to South America, specifically Brazil. This plant is known for its fluffy, characteristically shaped fruits, which are used in many fields. Its beautiful orange to red flowers, up to 15 cm high, are a wonderful addition to any garden or room. The plant is also unique due to its stubble-like leaves. It is also called cat's claw for its fringed appearance.
Its fruits, which have modified hairs, are used in the production of some types of industrial fabrics. However, due to its beautiful flowers, it is mainly used as an ornamental plant as it brightens up both interiors and exteriors of buildings. Its seeds are also used in the manufacture of musical instruments and jewellery. Some cultures also use the root of the bunchgrass in folk medicine. However, its properties are still poorly understood and its effectiveness has not yet been definitively confirmed. Thus, the bundle plant is a plant with diverse applications and deserves more attention in various fields.
