In the production of solid soaps, laSaponaria adheres to the traditional method of cold saponification, which they combine with modern knowledge and careful quality control. The processed mass is poured into wooden molds and allowed to mature naturally.

Why can the weight of each soap vary?

You may have noticed that the weight of soaps can vary slightly with each piece. However, you need not worry, no surprises here. Solid soaps are handcrafted using the cold method and are also hand-cut. Each piece is therefore a true original, and weights may slightly differ.

Another factor that can affect weight is the storage time. Soaps naturally lose weight over time, "mature," and if they contain water, it may evaporate. This is due to their entirely natural character and the absence of preservatives and stabilizers. This weight loss does not affect their effectiveness; the soap still contains all essential ingredients, and often may be even more intense, only weighing less. On the contrary, we have observed that soaps stored longer have a longer lifespan, as they wash away less and do not leach out.
