About the origins and missions of Watersavers

From idea to execution

The Watersavers brand originated in the Czech Republic and was founded with one goal in mind: to save water efficiently and with quality. The founders, Radomír Božek and Alena Macháčková, who already owned a sanitary technology company, noticed that existing foreign water savers were not efficient or durable enough. This led to the decision to create their own, Czech version of the water saver, which would be made of quality materials and with guaranteed water flow rates.

Innovations and prototypes

The first ideas and prototypes were created "at home on my knee". There was a lot of experimentation about what materials to use, what bonding methods were best and how to optimally control the water flow. The goal was to find a unique way to aerate the flow of water in a way that conserves water without it being obvious at first glance.

Ride with the South Moravian Innovation Centre

The South Moravian Innovation Centre became a partner of the company in its early stages, which helped the brand to take off significantly. Behind the whole success was an ingenious idea: visually keeping the water flow the same while in reality reducing water consumption.

Mass production and export

Today, the brand is able to produce up to 100,000 units a year with a ready capacity to scale up. In addition to the domestic market, Watersavers exports its products to Europe, Africa and Asia.

Environmental impact

If all households in the Czech Republic were to use Watersavers products, they would save as much energy needed to heat water as one unit of the Temelín nuclear power plant.

Watersavers is not only about saving water, but also about saving the planet. It is a brand that sets new standards in water management and that becomes an inspiration for the next generation.
