Origin and properties of each ingredient

Calcium carbonate is one of the most abundant minerals on the planet. In this product we use calcium carbonate from the limestone layers of the Swabian Alps. The cleaning effect of calcium carbonate is aided by coconut oil derivatives and sugar wetting agents derived from coconut fat, starch and sugar, which further facilitate the release of oily impurities.

Biological degradation

Calcium carbonate is a natural mineral and does not need to be further degraded. In the process of making sugar wetting agent and coconut oil derivatives, the plant materials of starch, sugar and fat are extracted but the parts remain fully preserved in their natural structure. It is therefore easy for micro-organisms to break down these components very quickly and completely.
