They added natural essential oils for an intoxicating aroma and housed the candle in a designer dark glass jar with a lid. Thus, even sustainably-minded individuals can enhance their life's atmosphere, and it is warmly recommended for vegans by the Vegan Society certification.

Mulieres carefully considered all available options for candle production. Stearin, popular in candle making, was rejected because it is derived from palm oil, the production of which negatively impacts rainforests. Therefore, they focused on local sources, and rapeseed won.

The transformation of rapeseed oil into wax is a demanding process where precise temperature and pouring speed are crucial, which is a challenge in handcrafting. They source the raw material from existing rapeseed fields and guarantee that it is a local, European product without genetic modifications. However, the rapeseed wax does not have an organic certification because it is not produced in organic quality worldwide due to low demand.

Rapeseed wax burns cleanly and, unlike paraffin candles, does not produce harmful emissions. If the wax accidentally gets on furniture or floors, it can be easily removed with soapy water.
