The yellow kangaroo plant, scientifically known as Anigozanthos Flavidus, is a plant native to Australia. In the Czech language, we also encounter terms such as yellow-headed rosettes or kangaroo paws. This evergreen, perennial plant reaches a height of up to one metre and is characterised by its flowers, which resemble kangaroo paws in colour and shape, hence one of its names. The flowers are yellowish to greenish in colour and bloom from May to July.
The yellow kangaroo is mainly used in floriculture as an ornamental plant. The shape and colour of its flowers can brighten up any bouquet or arrangement. This unique plant is also often used for interior decoration and as part of garden plantings, where it impresses not only with its appearance but also with its medicinal properties. In addition, various cosmetic products and ointments are made from it, as it has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Its extracts are also found in many natural products for skin and hair treatments.
