Manganese is an essential building block of the human body. We can think of it as a cornerstone for our body that is important for many of our functions and processes. One type of manganese that is used in the food industry and in the manufacture of dietary supplements is manganese in the form of manganese bisglycinate, also known by the commercial name TRAACS®. It is offered in a 2 mg dose.
This special type of manganese is mainly used in the food industry and in the manufacture of various food supplements. In a way, it can be a component of various vitamin mixtures, multivitamins, but also specialized dietary supplements designed for example for athletes, the elderly or pregnant and lactating women. Manganese is also a common ingredient in medicines to promote bone health or to support metabolism. Its benefits lie primarily in its function in enzymatic processes, where it contributes to energy production and the body's defences. Manganese bisglycinate in particular is characterised by its high bioavailability, where up to 90% of it can be absorbed into the body. Compared to conventional forms of manganese, it offers a much more efficient use.
