Specifically, it is produced from extracts of alfalfa, spinach or nettles. CI 75810 is approved for food use in a number of countries, including those in the European Union.

CI 75810 is mainly used as a food colouring agent, so it can be found in a wide range of products such as ice cream, confectionery, gummy candies, soft drinks, baked goods, dairy products and more.
