Retinol (vitamin A) is nicknamed the "elixir of youth" due to its anti-aging effects. It has a powerful exfoliating effect, smoothing the skin's texture, reducing fine and deeper wrinkles and making the skin look fresher, younger and healthier. It removes dead skin cells, impurities and sebum from the pores. By increasing cell turnover, it removes pigment spots and acne scars. It controls sebum production and helps prevent acne and inflammation.

By helping skin regeneration, it also benefits skin problems such as seborrhea.

Retinol is converted into retinoic acid, which accelerates cell regeneration, stimulates collagen and elastin production, and promotes the removal of pigmentation and acne.

The action of retinol is very intense, however, which is why you will find it in this serum in the form of liposomes. It is also very susceptible to degradation by light and air. The advanced technology of encapsulation in liposomes (phospholipid encapsulation) reduces its irritating effects, improves its distribution and availability in the skin, extends its shelf life and improves its stability. 

Testing showed that this liposomal retinol at a total concentration of 0.3% was able to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and fine lines by 13% over 4 weeks of testing compared to baseline and placebo (as measured by the VISIA Complexion Analysis System). After a further two weeks without using the product with this form of retinol, there was a further smoothing of wrinkles.
