Green tea extract is rich in free polyphenols, which are powerful antioxidants – essential components for protecting the skin from the adverse effects of free radicals. Oxidative stress plays a crucial role in the aging of human skin and skin damage. The mechanisms of internal (chronological) and external (photo) aging particularly involve the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) through oxidative metabolism and ultraviolet (UV) light. The formation of ROS is thus a key mechanism leading to skin aging. "Oxidative aging" includes DNA damage, inflammatory responses, reduced production of antioxidants, and the formation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP), which degrade collagen and elastin in the dermis.

It is known that catechins (a group of polyphenols) found in green tea slow down collagen degradation by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for its destruction. Its effectiveness in protecting cells from UV radiation has also been proven. It supports skin regeneration and hydration, acts antibacterially, making it effective in the fight against inflammation and acne. Due to its high tannin content, it is an excellent astringent – it helps regulate sebum production. It is rich in natural caffeine, making it great for toning even aging skin.

Usage:

Apply 2-3 drops of facial serum to cleansed, toned, and slightly damp skin and massage into the skin (face, neck, and décolleté area). Always apply a facial cream according to your skin type after absorption. The serum combines the benefits of green tea extract and the base water phase – rose water. Damask Rose Floral Water (organic): Maintains skin pH, hydrates it, stimulates regeneration processes, has anti-inflammatory effects. Refreshes, soothes redness, and allergic skin reactions.
