With proper care, your menstrual cup will last for years, saving you a lot of waste from disposable feminine hygiene products, but also your wallet. The cup should always be boiled in hot water before and after menstruation. A hot plate and a smaller pot will suffice. However, you can also replace it with a sterilising cup which allows you to boil the menstrual cup in the microwave.
