Product description Yuuki Economic Menstrual Cup - Large Soft (softer) - cup only
Larger Menstrual Cup Yuuki in a softer variant made from the highest quality medical silicone. The Economic version is a cost-effective alternative to the Yuuki soft cup. It is supplied without a manual, packaging, or disinfectant box.
The large cup is suitable for women and girls over 28 years old, as well as for all women who have given birth naturally and have heavier menstruation.
All cups and sterilization cups by Yuuki are manufactured in the Czech Republic. German medical silicone, which meets the strictest health standards, is used for making the cups.
Transitioning to a menstrual cup offers several advantages:
-
Health Safety: The menstrual cup is made from medical silicone, which does not allow bacteria to multiply and contains no chemicals, unlike tampons.
-
Not Associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS): Cups have a lower risk associated with TSS compared to tampons.
-
Easy Insertion: Thanks to the soft silicone, the cup is easy to insert and adapts to the shape of the vagina.
-
Easy Maintenance: The cup is sterilized before use by boiling in water for 5 minutes.
-
Long Lifespan: A well-maintained cup can last up to 15 years, reducing the need for frequent purchases of disposable products.
-
Environmental Benefit: Using a cup significantly reduces the amount of waste in the form of disposable pads and tampons.
-
Comfort During Sports and Activities: The cup is suitable for all types of activities, including swimming and cycling, and is so comfortable that you almost won't notice wearing it.
-
Suitable for Women with Vaginal Yeast Infections: The cup does not cause vaginal dryness and is suitable for women with recurrent yeast infections.
Sterilization and Maintenance of the Menstrual Cup:
-
Sterilization Before Menstruation: Before each use, especially before the start of menstruation, sterilize the cup. Place the cup in boiling water and let it boil for about 5 minutes. To increase the effectiveness of sterilization, you can add a teaspoon of special cleaning powder designed for this purpose.
-
Emptying During Menstruation: During menstruation, simply rinse the cup with cold water after removal and reinsert it. When using public toilets, it's handy to have a bottle of water for easy rinsing of the cup.
-
Color Change of the Cup: Over time, the cup may change color, which is normal and does not mean it is dirty. This phenomenon is comparable to the color change of baby pacifiers.
-
Odorless Use: The cup itself does not emit any odor. Unlike pads and tampons, which may contain deodorants, menstrual blood in the cup remains odorless as it does not come into contact with air.
Usage:
Menstrual cups are a healthy, cheap, and eco-friendly alternative to pads and tampons. They are easy, comfortable, and reliable to use. They will last you for many years, so you won't have to spend on pads or tampons and won't generate waste.
Using the Menstrual Cup:
-
Preparation Before Menstruation: Before menstruation starts, try inserting the cup to find its optimal placement. You can use a panty liner for support in case you're unsure about the correct insertion.
-
Insertion Technique: Insert the cup in a squatting position. If trying it outside of menstruation, moisten the cup, as insertion can be more challenging outside menstruation.
-
Inserting the Cup: Hold the cup between your thumb and forefinger and insert it into the vagina. There is no need to apply strong pressure. Once the cup is fully inside, release it so it can fully open.
-
Checking Correct Insertion: Test whether the cup is correctly inserted by gently pulling on the stem. If it comes out, it may not have opened properly and needs adjustment.
-
Removing the Cup: To remove the cup, first release the suction by pressing the bottom of the cup. Then you can pull it out without any issues.
-
Regular Emptying: Empty the cup approximately every 4 hours; over time, you'll find you can leave it in longer. Leave it in for a maximum of 12 hours, for example, overnight.
-
Use During Heavy Menstruation: During the first days of heavy menstruation, the cup may leak slightly. You can use a pad as a supplement.
