Product description Tierra Verde Nettle Shampoo for Oily Hair with Rosemary (230 ml)

Caring Shampoo based on soap nut extract and gentle coconut oil surfactants will be especially appreciated by those with quickly greasing hair. Extract from South Bohemian nettles in BIO quality regulates the production of sebum and dandruff associated with it. Thanks to the optimal pH level, it does not dry out the scalp and leaves hair gently scented with rosemary and orange. The shampoo has earned the Eco Garantie certification for its quality and gentleness, so you will not find synthetic perfumes, dyes, or harsh surfactants in it. And it is packed in glass!

Soap nuts have been used in India for body and hair care for thousands of years. Inspired by this tradition, we developed a shampoo with an extremely gentle and non-toxic composition. Thanks to the optimal pH, it does not disrupt the skin’s protective barrier. Nettle leaves contain minerals, amino acids, vitamin C, and carotenoids. The extract from this herb is therefore ideal for hair care with a tendency to become greasy quickly. It reduces excessive sebum production and dandruff formation associated with it.

The pleasant, refreshing scent of the shampoo is provided by bio essential oils of rosemary and orange. Unlike many common shampoos, it does not contain petroleum derivatives, synthetic fragrances, dyes, sulfates (industrial foaming agents), or irritating anionic surfactants and is stabilized only with mild food-grade preservatives.

In line with our Packaging Evolution, we offer large packages that can be used to refill the glass bottle with a dispenser, thus minimizing plastic packaging consumption.

Usage:

Massage the shampoo into wet hair until it foams. Leave it on for a while and then rinse thoroughly with water. If the shampoo does not foam abundantly, it is not a defect and does not affect its effectiveness. Unlike conventional products, it does not contain industrial foaming agents that can irritate the skin.

The shampoo has a low pH, which is beneficial for hair and scalp. The hair surface closes in an acidic environment, which facilitates combing. Therefore, our shampoos usually do not need to be complemented with a conditioner. If your hair requires it, we recommend natural remedies (apple cider vinegar, homemade herbal infusions).

If the pump on the glass bottle is not working correctly, check out our video guide to learn how to fix the pump properly.

You might be wondering:

Is detergent from soap nuts ecological and ethical?

Currently, we do not know of a more abundant and ecological source of natural plant surfactant than soap nut shells. The trees bearing these nuts grow wild in Indian forests. Therefore, no plantations that would burden the landscape are established for their cultivation. The nuts are harvested by local women, providing them with livelihood and helping them gain independence. We are regularly in contact with suppliers, and our cooperation supports the sustainable development of the area. Soap nuts are shipped to Europe by boat. The boxes they arrive in are used for further processing.
