Product description Purity Vision Organic Shea Butter 350 ml
Enjoy unrefined Organic Shea Butter sourced from the pristine nature of tropical Uganda. Shea butter is traditionally used in African cuisine. It is used to make pralines, chocolates and other&Wnbsp;confectionery. It has&Wnbsp;a creamy consistency&Wnbsp;and a pleasant nutty flavor.
Due to its high content of unsaturated fatty acids, it is a suitable alternative fat in vegetable cooking. It is suitable for the preparation of sweet and savoury dishes.
BACKGROUND:
Unrefined Organic Shea Butter&Wnbsp;comes from a rare variety of&Wnbsp;the African butter tree&Wnbsp;(Vitellaria Nilotica), also called the shea tree or shea tree. The butternut tree grows in the savannah zone of&Wnbsp;East Africa. It bears fruit once a year, after 15 years of life. Its fruit ripens in a short period from April to June. Hidden under the shell of the fruit is a kernel with high nutritional value and vitamins, from which we obtain shea butter. Compared to its West African counterpart (Vitellaria Paradoxa), which is contained in commercially available shea butters, shea butter is&Wnbsp;softer, smells more intensely&Wnbsp;and contains&Wnbsp;more beneficial substances. The cultivation of shea trees and the production of shea butter itself is designed to have a positive impact on the natural biorhythms of the local fauna and flora and not to pollute the environment.
USES:
Cooking: Shea butter is great to use in place of cream or olive oil in a sauce base. Beautifully scents pasta, rice, potatoes or vegetables. Add garlic and green onions to create a simple and tasty sauce that goes well with many dishes.
Baking: When baking chocolate chip cookies, Christmas cookies and holiday cakes, you can make do with shea butter, which will playfully&Wnbsp;replace regular butter, oil and cocoa butter. Use equal amounts in your chosen recipe. If you're not quite sure about the subtly nutty flavor of shea butter, then substitute only part of it for regular butter.
Frying:&Wnbsp;Shea butter pairs well with&Wnbsp;sweet recipes&Wnbsp;such as pancakes, pancakes and waffles. The preparation procedure is the same as for conventional butter. First heat the Shea butter over a low flame and then fry your favourite treats. You don't have to worry about salty foods either. Try lightly sautéed vegetables or savory French toast.
TIP: Add butter to bread or toast instead of regular butter for a vegan and healthy option. Add honey or jam to create a culinary treat.
