Tanacetum Annuum is a plant native to Morocco that is referred to as Blue Chamomile or Moroccan Chamomile in English and Blue Tansy in English. This herb belongs to the starflower family, which is a very large plant family comprising more than twenty thousand species. Moroccan chamomile is valuable for its medicinal properties, but also for its aromatic properties.
One of the main products in which Moroccan chamomile is used is essential oil. The oil obtained by steaming chamomile has very strong anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic properties. It is therefore widely used in aromatherapy, especially for its calming effects. Furthermore, this oil is also used for skin treatments for various dermatological problems. Another product in which Moroccan chamomile is used is in cosmetic products. These are valuable mainly for their effects on the skin: they regenerate it, soften wrinkles and fight acne. Blue chamomile also appears in various types of shampoos and conditioners, where it strengthens hair fibres and gives hair a healthy appearance.
