Sodium Percarbonate, also known as Sodium Percarbonate, Sodium carbonate peroxide or Sodium carbonate sesquiperhydrate, is a white solid very soluble in water, in which it decomposes into hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate. It is therefore a source of hydrogen peroxide suitable for use in powders and granules. It is a safe, environmentally friendly and highly effective substance that is used in a wide range of industrial applications.
Sodium Percarbonate can be found in many domestic and industrial products. In the home, Sodium Percarbonate is most commonly found in laundry detergents, where it serves as a pronounced bleaching and disinfecting agent, as well as in dish, sanitary and floor cleaners. In addition, Sodium Percarbonate is widely used in industry as a component of many cleaning and disinfecting products. It is also used in the food industry as a flour whitening additive and in the cosmetics industry in the production of whitening toothpastes and mouthwashes. In the water industry, it is used as a disinfectant and for the removal of iron and manganese from water. It is also very effective in the oxidation of sulphur or the reduction of organic matter in waste water.
