Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, often referred to as SLS or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, is one of the most widely used ingredients in cosmetics and household cleaning products. It is a chemical that is excellent at degreasing and produces a strong foam, giving the user a pleasant impression.
SLS is used in a wide range of products. It is most commonly found in shampoos, body shower gels, soaps and toothpastes.
