The Daurian rose, also known as Rosa davurica, Amur Rose or Asian rose, is a unique flower native to East Asia. Its beautiful pale pink flowers and beautiful green leaves make this shrub captivating at first sight. This rose is very hardy, grows in frosty climates and usually blooms in late summer. It normally reaches a height of one to one and a half metres.
The Daurian rose is widely used in many industries. In traditional Chinese medicine it is used for its medicinal properties, for example, it helps to improve blood circulation, reduces fever and has anti-inflammatory effects. The fruit of the Daurian rose contains a large amount of vitamin C and is thus used in the production of syrups, jams, as well as various infusions and teas. In cosmetics, the oil of the rose of Daurian is mainly used, which has antioxidant effects and helps the skin to stay hydrated and healthy. It can be found in many skin care products such as creams, serums, masks or balms.
