Quaternium-80

Quaternium-80, also known as Siloxanes and Silicones, is a widely used chemical ingredient in cosmetic and pharmaceutical manufacturing. It is a surfactant with numerous applications outside these fields. Quaternium-80 is a specific silicone that has a quaternary, or fourth level ammonium compound. It contains four organic groups attached to a central nitrogen atom and is particularly effective in conditioning and softening hair when applied for better detangling.
