Propane-1,2,3-triyl tripalmitate, also known by the names Tripalmitin, Glycerol tripalmitate, Tripalmitoylglycerol, Glyceryl tripalmitate, Hexadecanoic acid, 1,2,3-propanetriyl ester, Glyceryl trihexadecanoate, Palmitic acid triglycerin ester, 1,2,3-tris-hexadecanoylpropane or Trihexadecanoin, is a fatty ester that is one of the main components in some fats and oils. This chemical is composed of glycerol and three molecules of palmitic acid and is therefore classified as a triglyceride.

In what products is propane-1,2,3-triyl tripalmitate used? It is one of the natural constituents of some vegetable and animal fats and oils, including palm oil, coconut oil, butter, lard and beef fat.
