It is native to Southeast Asia, but its attractive decorative qualities have spread to many areas around the world. It is a climbing plant with long, stalked leaves of greenish to light green colour with typical light marbled spots.
Although not a type of plant used in the food or pharmaceutical industry, Pothos Repens is mainly used in ornamental horticulture and as a houseplant. It is very popular for its attractive appearance and easy care. It can grow in both light and shade, although it prefers more light. The plant also has a positive effect on indoor air quality as it can absorb and neutralise some harmful substances such as formaldehyde. In many cultures it is also considered a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
