Parabens are chemicals that are used as preservatives in the cosmetics industry. Their main purpose is to extend the shelf life of cosmetic products and protect them from bacteria, mould and yeast. They are compounds of benzoic acid with parahydroxybenzoic esters. In addition to cosmetics, they can also be found in the food industry and pharmacology.
However, in addition to parabens, there is another \'beetroot\' in the world, which is popularly known as \'the bloody elixir of youth\'. Its technical name is \'Beetroot\', in Czech we know it as the common beet. This vegetable is characterised by its deep purple colour and sweet taste. Thanks to its significant health benefits, it is popular all over the world. Beetroot is popular in the cuisines of many cultures, where it is used in dishes, drinks and medicines. It is high in vitamins and minerals that contribute to good human health. It significantly supports digestion, improves blood quality and strengthens the immune system. It is also often used in cosmetics as a natural colouring agent in lipsticks, blushes and eye shadows.
