The Chinese rose hibiscus, also known as Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Chinese hibiscus or Chinese rose, is a perennial plant native to East Asia. This ornamental shrub can grow up to 5 metres tall and is popular for its large, brightly coloured flowers which can appear in a wide range of shades from red, pink, yellow and orange. Hibiscus flowers are known for their distinctive appearance, with five petals sewn together to form a striking tube.
