Geranyl acetate is an organic compound with the formula C12H20O2, which is often used in industry for the production of various products. It is an ester derived from acetone and geraniol, which is one of the primary components of numerous natural essential oils and contributes to their aromatic profile. Geranyl acetate is most commonly found in citrus, rose and geranium fragrances and is characterized by its fresh, fruity and floral aroma.
