Diplazium Sibiricum, also known as Mole-ladder, Cystopteris crenata, Asplenium sibiricum or Athyrium crenatum, is a species of fern native to Siberia, where it grows in the foothills and mountain forests. This plant can also be found in the Chřiby and Moravian Karst. It prefers moist and shady places and can be used for planting in gardens and parks, where it can form spectacular stands. At maturity it reaches a height of 30 to 60 cm.
It is a species that belongs to the Athyriaceae family. It has an unusual appearance, with leaves that are divided into pairs of lobes, these lobes can be up to five pairs on each leaf. The leaves are considered edible and can be used in mixtures to make salads or as an addition to various dishes. In traditional medicine, Diplazium Sibiricum is used to treat skin problems, inflammation and respiratory diseases. In pharmaceutical products, it is used as an ingredient in skin and hair care products due to its healing and soothing properties.
