Dilauryl citrate, also known as dilauryl citrate, is a chemical compound belonging to the citric acid ester group. It is a fatty substance that is commonly found in nature in plants and animals. Dilauryl citrate is widely used in the cosmetic industry. Due to its emulsifying and stabilizing properties, it is often added to moisturizers, shampoos, conditioners, make-up and other skin and hair care products. This substance is also used as an emollient and moisturizing ingredient. When applied to the skin or hair, it forms a thin layer that gives it softness and smoothness.
