Deer tongue (Pyrrosia lingua) is a plant native to East Asia. Its traditional names are Tongue Fern in English, shi wei in Chinese or also bindas medicinal. It is a species of fern that grows on trees as an epiphytic plant. Characteristic of this plant are its leaves, which are shaped like elongated, leathery tongues, hence its name.
