Chinese knotweed, otherwise known as Bupleurum, knotweed, Chinese root, Chai hu or Thorowax root, is an herb belonging to the myrrh family. It grows naturally in East Asia and can be found mainly in the vast plains and grasslands of China, Mongolia and Russia.
