Cassia Alata, also known as Senna Alata, Candle tree, Emperor candlestick or Cassia, is a plant native to the tropical regions of the Americas. However, over time, this species has spread to many warm regions around the world, including Asia and Africa. It is known for its striking yellow flowers, likened to the appearance of a candle, hence one of its English names - Candle tree. Cassia Alata is a perennial tree, growing up to 3 metres tall, and its large green leaves are used in traditional medicine as a remedy for various skin diseases and infections.
In addition to its medicinal function, cassia is also widely used in the cosmetic industry. This includes in particular the production of various soaps, creams or shampoos, where its antibacterial and antifungal properties are exploited. Soaps and creams containing this plant are intended for problematic skin prone to eczema, itching, fungus and others. Shampoos, in turn, help against hair loss and dandruff. Cassia Alata is also found in some anti-aging products, where it helps reduce wrinkles and improve the overall appearance of the skin. The plant is especially valued for its natural composition and gentle approach to the skin.
