Bean bean (Carlina acaulis)

The flowerless navel, also known as the white navel, carlina or Chromatolepis aucalis, is a perennial plant of the Asteraceae family, found mainly in Europe. Its appearance is similar to dandelions and its peculiarity is that the leaves and flowers grow directly from the root, i.e. without a stem. It is a perennial, undemanding plant that can be seen mainly in mountainous areas on limestone soil. It flowers from July to September and forms large clumps.
