Bach flower essences, often referred to as Bach drops or Bach drops, are a healing method of alternative medicine invented and first used by British physician Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s. They are a unique system of 38 plant essences that Bach believed would positively affect an individual's emotional state and thus aid in balanced health. Each of these essences is associated with a particular emotional problem or bad habit.
Bach flower essences are often incorporated into many different products. The first and most well-known of these is Rescue Remedy, a combination of five essences designed for acute situations of stress and anxiety. It is available as drops, but also as lozenges or gels. Bach essences are also often used in personal care - they can be found in creams, soaps, shampoos or body lotions. The medical industry uses them in the form of syrups, tablets or inhalers. In some cases, we can also find Bach drops in food, for example in tea or candy. While certain products with Bach essences are commercially available, others can be created by the user according to individual needs and preferences.
