In the production of solid soaps, laSaponaria adheres to the traditional method of cold saponification, which they combine with modern insights and careful quality control. The processed mass is poured into wooden molds and allowed to mature naturally.

Why can the weight of each soap differ?

You may have noticed that the weight of each soap can vary slightly. Solid soaps are handmade using the cold method and are also hand-cut. Each piece is a true original, and therefore the weights may vary slightly.

Another factor that can affect the weight is the storage time. Soaps naturally lose weight over time, "mature," and if they contain water, it may evaporate. This is due to their completely natural character and the absence of preservatives and stabilizers.

This loss, however, does not affect their effectiveness; the soap still contains all the important ingredients, and it may even become more intense, only weighing less. Conversely, we have noted that soaps stored longer have a longer lifespan, as they wash away less and do not dissolve as quickly.
