The purely natural hair dye in BIO quality is named Sarasvati after the famous and mysterious goddess embodying the values of knowledge and art. Selected herbs and henna from organic farming are specially combined in it to beautifully illuminate the mane, adding volume and shine.

The dye is ideal for light hair, which it revives with natural, cooler highlights of light brown shades, like the Indian river Rigveda. It's perfect for those who do not favor too many red highlights. Although it won't color dark hair, it is also suitable for them, as it acts as a wonderful rejuvenating and strengthening hair mask.

Ingredients

Henna, or Lawsonia inermis, has been used since ancient Egypt and India. The powder from the leaves of Lawsonia has also made its way to Europe. Henna colors due to the tannin content in the leaves, which binds with keratin in the hair. By itself, it gives hair red highlights, protects it from falling out, dandruff formation, and splitting.

Indigo imparts antibacterial effects to the mixture, balances the amount of sebum, and is a source of dye.

Amla, or Indian gooseberry, is valued for its antioxidant properties. It gives hair vitality, shine, helps darker shades stand out, and also acts as a conditioner.

Usage

Preparing hair for coloring:

Before coloring, wash your hair ideally with a special shampoo designed for preparation for coloring. Do not use shampoo containing silicones or other substances that create a "coating" on the hair, as they could prevent the dye from penetrating the hair.

Preparing the dye:

Put on gloves and mix the herbal powder with warm water (around 70 degrees) in a bowl. Add enough water to create a smooth paste with a consistency similar to ketchup. It shouldn't be too runny or too thick. If you have short hair, you probably don't need to use the entire content of the package. Choose the amount of herbal powder according to the length and thickness of your hair so that the resulting paste is enough to cover them.

Applying the dye:

Apply the mixture while still warm to washed and damp hair. Proceed strand by strand, applying the dye from roots to ends. When all hair is coated with the dye, cover it with foil and then a dry towel or scarf to keep the hair warm so the dye can "work." Leave it on for 30 minutes to 2 hours. The longer you leave the dye on, the better it adheres and will be richer and darker.

Tip: If you are only touching up roots, apply the dye only to them, not the entire length of the hair.

Rinsing the dye:

After the desired time, remove the towel and foil from the hair and wash out the herbal mixture with warm water. Do not use shampoo or conditioner. Finally, you can rinse your hair with cold water and a hydrosol (we recommend lavender or damask rose), which will help the dye fix better. Do not use any other products on your hair for the next 24 hours.

Hair full of health and shine:

To allow the dye to reach its full potential, wait 24–48 hours before washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner. Then you can enjoy your beautifully shiny hair in all its glory.
