Ingredients:

Henna, or Lawsonia Inermis, has been used since ancient Egypt and India. The powder from henna leaves has also made its way to Europe. Henna colors thanks to the tannin contained in the leaves, which binds with the keratin in the hair. On its own, it gives hair red highlights, protects it from hair loss, dandruff, and splitting.

Indigo imparts antibacterial properties to the mixture, balances sebum levels, and is a source of dye.

Amla, or Indian gooseberry, is valued for its antioxidant properties. It gives hair vitality, shine, helps darker shades stand out, and also acts as a conditioner.

Natural color also contains indigo - a blue dye from the indigo plant. If you decide to use a coloring mixture containing indigo, bleaching such treated hair is not recommended.

Indigo tends to react with peroxide, and the hair might turn an unwanted green shade. And you don't want that. :) If you are new to natural colors, choose a mixture that does not contain this plant for starters. Choose a natural color with indigo content when you wish to commit to gentle herbal coloring long-term. :)

Usage:

Preparation of hair for coloring: Ideally, wash your hair before coloring with a special shampoo designed for this purpose. Avoid using shampoos containing silicones or other substances that create a protective film on the hair. These could prevent the color from penetrating the hair fiber.

Preparation of the color: First, put on protective gloves and mix the plant-based coloring powder with warm water (approximately 70 degrees Celsius) in a bowl. Add water to create a smooth paste with a ketchup-like consistency. The paste should not be too thin or too thick. If you have short hair, you may not need the entire package, so adjust the amount of powder according to the length and thickness of your hair to ensure there is enough paste to cover all the hair.

Application of the color: Apply the still warm mixture to clean and damp hair. Work strand by strand, applying the color from roots to tips. After coloring all the hair, cover it with foil and then a dry towel or scarf to keep it warm and allow the color to act effectively. Let the color sit on the hair for 30 minutes to 2 hours – the longer, the more intense and darker the result you can expect.

Tip: If you are coloring only the roots, apply the color exclusively to those areas.

Rinsing the color: After the designated time, remove the towel and foil from the hair and wash the coloring mixture out with warm water. Do not use shampoo or conditioner. Finally, you can rinse your hair with cold water and a hydrolate (such as lavender or damask rose), which helps fix the color better. Avoid using any other hair products for the next 24 hours.

Hair full of health and shine: For the best result, wait 24 to 48 hours before washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner again. Then, you can enjoy beautifully shiny and healthy-looking hair.
