How does the egg work?

The laundry egg contains two types of special natural mineral pellets - black tourmaline and white mineral pellets. This combination of mineral pellets is responsible for clean and fragrant laundry. The tourmaline pellets adjust the water, leaving clothes beautifully soft and smooth after washing. The mineral and tourmaline pellets ionize oxygen molecules in the water and change its pH. This softens the water, reduces the size of water molecules, allowing them to penetrate deep into the fabric fibers. As a result, they thoroughly remove proteins and fats - the two main components of dirt. The mechanical movement of the egg in the washing machine drum helps to remove the loosened dirt from the clothes without damaging them.

In the washing machine, the egg creates a gentle natural foam, which arises from the movement of the egg in the water and the action of mineral pellets. It is not as intense as in regular detergents because it does not come from diluting chemical components.

The egg washes using activated and treated water molecules, leaving no residual chemicals in the fabric that need to be rinsed out. Therefore, there is no need to add any rinse aid or vinegar during washing.

White mineral pellets are supplemented with a blend of essential oils, which pleasantly scent the laundry. You no longer need to add fabric softener to the laundry.

Usage:

How to use the egg and what to watch out for?

Fill the egg with the included white and black pellets, close it well, and start washing.

The egg is effective even at lower temperatures. Washing is possible at a maximum of 60°C. Higher temperatures could damage the egg and degrade the washing pellets.

The egg is intended for a standard washing machine and a regular load (6-8 kg). If you have a larger washing machine, you need to use 2 Ecoegg Laundry Eggs for washing.

The laundry egg is suitable for washing all kinds of laundry.

You can also use it for hand washing. Place the egg in a container of water, leave it in the water for about 15 minutes, and then you can wash the laundry.

The composition of the washing pellets is gentle and free from harmful chemicals, making the egg suitable for washing children's clothes.

If you wish to wash very delicate fabrics like silk in the washing machine, place them in a protective bag and then use the laundry egg.

If there are stubborn stains on the laundry, treat them with a stain remover before washing, or use gall or olive soap.

The egg can also be used for washing functional clothing.

If you want to wash softshell fabrics or clothing with special impregnation, we recommend using specially designed detergents. The laundry egg can wash such clothes but does not have the ability to restore the special properties of these membranes.

Do not add any additional rinse aid or vinegar and products containing alcohol to the wash. Vinegar and alcohol can degrade the washing pellets, reduce their size, and decrease washing effectiveness. When washing dark clothes, small white particles may remain on the clothing in such cases.

The egg is not suitable for use in washing machines that combine washing and drying. If you decide to use it in such a machine, you must turn off the machine after the washing cycle, remove the egg, and then start the drying cycle. Otherwise, the laundry egg may be damaged and degraded during drying.

The egg is suitable for all common types of washing machines. If you have a steam washing machine, you can use the laundry egg only on programs where you wash with water.

After washing, the egg must be removed from the washing machine and allowed to dry naturally in the air. If you are doing multiple washing cycles in a row, the egg can remain in the machine. Remove it only when you finish washing for the day.

The pellets in the egg shrink with washing. When they reduce in volume by around half, it's time to refill the egg with a new batch of pellets. You will also know it's time to refill the pellets when the overall pellet volume in the larger part of the egg drops to about 1 cm from the edge.

Packaging:

Black tourmaline pellets do not shrink and do not need to be replaced or refilled.

When you need to refill the pellets in the egg, you only need to purchase separate replacement refills. The egg (shell) can be used for up to 10 years.
