Product description Blossombs Seed Bombs - Egg Box Gift Set - Spring (6 pcs) - Wild Meadow Flowers
Do you like giving gifts that have real meaning? Then 100% natural seed bombs are a perfect, colorful choice. :) In an original gift set resembling a paper egg carton, the Dutch company Blossombs has hidden 6 clay balls with seeds of BIO wild meadow flowers such as poppy, daisy, yarrow, cornflower, or clover. Just place them in soft soil, and after blooming, they’ll bring a smile to your face and provide a haven and food for curious bees, bumblebees, or even butterflies.
In the Dutch company Blossombs, the friendly founders Daisy de Bruijn and Geerten van Eldik had a brilliant idea – to develop 100% natural colorful balls made from clay, wild meadow flower seeds, natural dyes, and nutrients. These are seed bombs that, after sprouting and blooming, accommodate and feed bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other insects that are so crucial for the ecosystem. And besides – those who plant, do not misbehave. Will you join in? :)
- It’s definitely an original and practical gift in one.
- They are made from 100% natural ingredients.
- After blooming, they provide a natural sanctuary full of food for bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and other insects that are important for the ecosystem.
- You can have a small meadow right in your home – on a balcony or by a window.
- Seed bombs can grow even in a pot.
- They bring joy.
- When the first green plant that you grew by hand starts peeking out from the soil, it’s simply a wonderful feeling. :)
Usage:
- You can plant a seed bomb anytime during the year, but the flowers usually sprout from March to October.
- The flowers in Blossombs are annuals. If you sow the bomb from March to September, it will bloom the same year.
- If you plant it after the season, you can look forward to the harvest next spring unless the seeds are eaten by birds or insects.
- The clay balls contain an organic mixture of wildflower seeds that can bloom at different times.
- Some flowers will appear right in spring, others not until autumn. Nature will surprise you in its own way :)
Where to plant the seed bomb?
- Anywhere, ideally outside in the garden, around the house, or wherever wildflowers would bring joy.
- You can also plant the ball in a pot on the balcony or by a window.
- Keep in mind that seeds like plenty of light, space, and nutritious soil.
- Do not sow Blossombs in protected nature reserves.
How to plant the seed bomb?
- You can place up to 4 balls per 1 m² of outdoor soil.
- If you want a meadow in a pot, for a 20 cm diameter, 1 to 3 balls are enough.
- For a long balcony planter, 3 to 6 balls arranged in a row per 1 m are just right.
- For a denser growth, you can use more, just know that the flowers might compete and not all grow or bloom equally.
- Lightly press the bomb into soft soil, not too much – just so it stays visible on the surface, and water it or wait for rain.
- After a few days, the balls will crack as the first green plants begin to emerge.
- After +/- 8 weeks (and around April, when it’s warm enough), the first meadow flowers will start to appear.
